Swedish sausage box

Well, the dish is probably not really called like that, but with the Google translator sometimes funny word creations come out. Nevertheless, the dish tasted great!

Ingredients (for 4 persons)

  • 300g pasta
  • 1 onion
  • 300g white cabbage
  • 1 Falu sausage*
  • 3 eggs
  • 1½ tbsp mustard
  • 2dl whole cream or whipped cream
  • 1dl milk
  • 200g grated cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt, pepper

Accessories

  • Firepot with lid
  • Cooking pot
  • Bowl
  • Whisk or hand mixer (for whipped cream)
  • Grill bowl or fire pit

Preparation

  1. Cook the pasta so that it is just al-dente.
  2. Cut the onion and white cabbage into thin strips. Cut the Falu sausage into slices. Put everything in the firepot and fry in the olive oil for about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the cooked pasta to the fire pot as well.
  4. Mix the eggs, mustard, whipped cream, milk and grated cheese in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Also add the mixture to the firepot and mix everything well.
  5. Bake the casserole at approx. 220°C for 25 minutes until the egg mixture is set.

*Falu sausage is a Swedish sausage which, according to tradition, originates from the town of Falun. The sausage is made from beef, pork or horse meat. Alternatively, Cervelat, for example, can also be used in Switzerland.
