Travel kitchen
We love to try local specialities when we travel, some of which we have recreated. When we do so, we like to cook and bake in our fire pot. Everything tastes twice as good. The recipes and pictures shall also make you want to try something new.
Small dishes
Garlic bread
Garlic bread tastes at least twice as good from the grill and on the snow bench as it does at home.
Smoked fish
Smoked fish not only tastes great, the fish can also be kept longer. This can be an advantage, especially when travelling and there is no fridge for storage.
Main courses
Tajine
One of Carole's favourite menus!
Scandinavian game pot with elk
Since we probably don't get elk meat so easily in other countries, we couldn't leave Norway without having cooked elk at least once.
Desserts
Cinnamon rolls, 2 varieties
The perfect snack while mountain biking or hiking.
Blueberry tart
A real treat, especially with berries you've picked yourself!
Bread
Braid
A fresh braid for breakfast is one of the best things to start the day well or for a cosy brunch at the weekend.
